Bringing Promises to Life: How We View Marketing and Sales

California Debt Collection Agency

Recently, I was referred to a new dentist who had glowing reviews from the person who referred me, as well as online. Typically, dental visits make me extremely anxious due to my past experiences, including a root canal that required multiple procedures to complete, resulting in around twelve visits in total. To make matters worse, I seem to have an unusually high tolerance to the numbing agents used during drilling. However, this new dental office impressed me more as time went on.

My dental hygienist walked me in, sat me down, and gave me a brief elevator pitch about why their company is exceptional. She reassured me, saying, “We will never try to find something that isn’t there or upcharge you. We know you are here to get your teeth cleaned, and we want you to feel comfortable and not anxious while you are here.” She was incredibly kind and chatty, which helped distract me from the dental tools in my mouth. Unlike my previous dental office, she truly seemed to care.

Cultivating Workplace Culture

We recently had a meeting with our operations staff at Tavelli Co., where I emphasized our standard of fostering a similar culture. A place where employees don’t dread coming to work but instead enjoy the people they work with and are kind and compassionate toward everyone they interact with daily. This desire may be why we have such a low turnover rate, and employees seem to stay with us for so long. We may not be a perfect management staff, but I hope that our employees know that we are consistently thinking of ways to make their lives better and provide a great atmosphere to work in.

Meeting Expectations

What stood out about the dental office was how accurately the elevator pitch matched my experience by the end of my visit. They were kind, made me feel comfortable, and found no new cavities. Over the past few years, I have been involved in sales and marketing, and my goal is for the pitch I give on each sales call to align with our clients’ experiences and expectations. There is nothing more frustrating than when the pitch doesn’t match the actual experience. It’s challenging to see a company with high Google reviews or great customer ratings and feel like you’re the one person who didn’t share the positive experience reflected in those reviews.

Matching the Pitch to the Experience

There is a certain magic that takes place within a company when the marketing and sales match the experience of the client or consumer. This is what we envision with our company and this is always the goal! I believe if you are in sales, it is wise to choose a product that you would personally use, or a product that works and has improved your life.

Avoiding Embellishment

It is much easier to sell when the thing you are selling is of a high quality. In this same sense, I don’t think it is always a good thing to be labeled a great salesperson or always have the best numbers. Sometimes the best salespeople are great, because they are embellishing the product they are selling. Like selling a vacuum cleaner that doesn’t suck up dirt, or a car that is a lemon, you don’t want to be a great salesperson if your product is consistently bad.

Keeping Consistent

This is why at Tavelli Co. we meet weekly to review our policies, SOPS, and issues that have arisen from the front lines of our business. We are constantly trying to assure that our service matches our sales pitch, and the experience is consistent throughout.

Hiring for Synergy

It is for this very reason that hiring is so important to us. Not only do we want our clients to find a synergy between how we market our company and their everyday experience, our goal is that our employees feel that our company culture is accurate to our mission as well. They are the ones who have to be here every day, they are the ones on the front lines of our business communicating, and they are the ones who make our company exceptional.

The Unexpected Link Between Dental Practices and Tavelli Co. Receivables

Interestingly, despite our industry facing increasing legislative challenges each year, our dental client list seems to be the fastest-growing sector among our medical-related clientele. In fact, we may now have more dental clients than any other type of business. This rapid growth is due to the significant alignment between Tavelli Co.’s mission and the approach adopted by many dental professionals over the years.

A Common Mission

Both we and the dental community understand that we are handling highly sensitive aspects of people’s lives. We strive to ensure that our communications leave individuals with a sense of kindness and professionalism. Our ultimate goal is to run a profitable business while positively impacting the lives of those we interact with. Although this approach may seem unusual for our field, it explains why we receive so many referrals!
